Gladys Hanako Sakai, 89, of Hilo died Nov. 25 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Olaa, she worked in the quality control department at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. and was a member of the East Kawailani Kumiai. Private services held. Donald Kalaniopuu Yamada, 82, of Hilo died Dec. 5 at home. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was the retired president for Yamada and Sons. He was also a member of the Hawaii Island Contractors Association. Terry Wilson Seacord , 78, of Waimea, died Dec. 19 at Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Santa Ana, Calif., he was a locksmith, Parker Ranch maintenance worker and an iron worker.
